Hello Mohamed,

Here's some info that may be useful regarding your query on integrating recording software with CUCM 6.x.

From the 2008 Partner Summit Page:

http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le21/le34/partnersummit/2008/partner/exhibitors.html

Autonomy etalk - http://www.etalk.com

Nice Systems - http://www.nice.com

Telrex - http://www.telrex.com

KnoahSoft - http://www.knoasoft.com

You can also find a list of partners by doing a search on the Cisco Technology Developer Program page.

http://www.cisco.com/pcgi-bin/ctdp/Search.pl

For example if you do a search for Contact Center solutions, and Recording as the Solution Category, the result page will return three of the partners listed above, and this one as well:

Voicestore - http://www.voistore.com/

The monitoring and recording chapter of the CUCM 6.0 Features and Services Guide also lists three examples of third party call recording applications:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/6_0_1/ccmfeat/fsmr.html#wp1047586

Nice - http://www.nice.com

Witness - http://www.witness.com/splash.htm

Verint - http://verint.com/corporate/

Does this help?

Regards,

Michael.

Just to expand on this a bit; do these software packages make use of the new call recording / monitoring features of UCM 6 which negate the need for setting up RSPAN? According to the UCM 6 features guide, third generation phones provide an RTP stream to a recording server.

No. I believe these all use Span. Try Voiceprint.

Hi all,

Nice and Witness have been tested, and do indeed support the new recording feature in CUCM 6.0. They support the SIP function required to allow a SIP trunk to be configured on the CUCM.

The recording session is invoked to the recorder using the SIP Trunk just like any other call. A SIP INVITE is sent out the

SIP Trunk to a specific phone number that is assigned to the recorder. The recorder accepts recording calls from CUCM in SIP.

See also the documentation below that states as follows:

"Devices That Support Call Monitoring and Call Recording

This section lists and describes the various devices that support call monitoring and call recording.

Agent Devices

Agent devices must be able to mix media for monitoring and to fork media for recording.

The system supports the following Cisco third-generation IP phones: 7906G, 7911G, 7931G, 7941G, 7941G-GE, 7961G, 7961G-GE, 7970G, and 7971G-GE.

Supervisor Devices

Supervisor devices must be able to receive one-way media.

Recorders

Recorders must interface with Cisco Unified Communications Manager SIP trunk to receive recording calls.

Nice/Witness Recorders have been tested; Verint and other third-party vendors manufacture suitable recorders."

Michael.

Does anyone have any info on scalability or sizing info for using the CM 6.X recording feature?

I would suggest EDIGIN.

We have installed their product and it works great.

Support is outstanding/fast/very helpful.

Cost is worth it.

One button record is easy-peasey.

Call them.

You will be 'saved'.

They saved me.
