Hi,

rommon 1 > boot sup-slot0:c6msfc-dsv-mz.121-27b.E1.bin

an alternate boot helper program is not specified

(monitor variable "BOOTLDR" is not set)

and unable to determine first file in bootflash

loadprog: error - on file open

boot: cannot load "sup-slot0:c6msfc-dsv-mz.121-27b.E1.bin"

Is it Have any idea to boot it up.

Thanks

-Gilbert

Try the "boot slot0:c6msfc-dsv-mz.121-27b.E1.bin" command.

(dont use sup-slot0:, just slot0:)

Also, when you get the MSFC running, goto global config mode and enter the "boot system flash slot0:c6msfc-dsv-mz.121-27b.E1.bin" command to set the boot file to load automatically.

I believe the old Supervisor 1's need to have a bootloader image loaded into msfc bootflash with the corresponding boot statement to boot up correctly . Go out and get the bootloader image that goes with this version and load it into "MSFC" bootflash and set your boot statement to reflect this , "boot bootldr bootflash: , then write mem. Also your first boot statement was correct pointing sup-slot0: .

Hi,

I had tried the command which suggested but it come out the message as below:

rommon 2 > boot slot0:c6msfc-dsv-mz.121-27b.E1.bin

an alternate boot helper program is not specified

(monitor variable "BOOTLDR" is not set)

and unable to determine first file in bootflash

loadprog: error - on file open

boot: cannot load "slot0:c6msfc-dsv-mz.121-27b.E1.bin"

rommon 3 >

pls advise

Thanks
