Please configure:

voice service voip

qsig decode

Also, when receiving a call from PBX, note which plan/type is used. You may need to use the very same for outgoing calls.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

incoming calls from PBX were ISDN/Sub

I was sending my outgoing as ISDN/Ukn, which i tried changing to ISDN/Sub but still no luck.

I just converted my gateway back to MGCP and this resolves the issue. Even though we need some digit manipulation, we are going to have telco or our pbx administrators do them. Currently since we are migrating phone by phone adding individual dial-peers is quite painful and will soon take up dram resources and cause long routing times.

With "qsig decode" you should be able to see calling name as well, assuming you're still using H.323.

Generally speaking you can configure DPs so they applies to patterns raten thatn individual numbers. And in general the scalability of DPs is never an issue.

thanks, whenever our migration is large enough i will convert back to h323.

i have a dp that is a catch all [1-7,9]... that points to the pbx

however in h323 the nortel sends calls to the gateway router such as 3919 so i need to make individual dp's matching exact dn's to point them to the Cucm. it's a pain... as i have to duplicate this at 2 separate geographic sites as each gw is one anothers backup. thank you for the info i will use it when i go back to h323
