NAM module

Is't possible to install NAM module into Cat650x/760x without shutdown device?

I have this problem too.

Yes, the 6500 switch supports OIR (Online Insertion & Removal) for all of it's modules which includes the NAM.

Before you do insert it best to check that your are running version of software that supports it. If not it won't bring the switch down just the NAM module will not come up properly.

All the Catalyst 6500 series and Catalyst 6000 family switches support hot swapping, which allows you to install, remove, replace, and rearrange modules without turning off the system power.
