Question Mark (?) In AS PATH

Hi -

after showing received routes from an ebgp peer, i see a ? after the peers AS in the path..can anyone tell me what does this mean?

#sh ip bgp nei 0.0.0.1 received-routes | i 2.2.2.2

* 7.7.7.7/29 2.2.2.2 0 65000 ?

Unless there is another reason for the '?' these days then that should be the origin of the route. It can originate via IGP, EGP or Incomplete. Incomplete routes are referenced w/ the question mark '?' and it is most likely a result of the route being redistributed.
