IP Communicator

Hello,

Not too sure if this is the right place to post this !!.

We are using IP Communicator on our laptops for home workers and cannot get it to work between homeworkers. Homeworker to office works fine.

We are using the Cisco VPN Client 5.x and accessing the Office via a PIX515E (active/standby pair), the PIX is also the DHCP server for Homeworkers.

Does anybody have any ideas on this ?

Basically we cannot get Homeworker A to call Homeworker B and vice versa.

Homeworker A can dial the Ext number of Homeworker B but the call is dropping somewhere.

The phones are registered properly and can make internal (to the office) and external (an outside number).

if they're both over VPN then start looking into that

Hi, probably your VPN is not set properly, that is, A cannot ping B.

So either you fix the VPN, or have the router be MTP for A dn B.

Have you checked the trace logs to see exactly what is happening to the calls?

Look for the following in traces:

1) Exact call time

2) device ID or MAC address

3) extension numbers
