Analyse DFM message

We receive this message from the DFM (LMS 3), i need some help to explain the message.

EVENT ID = 0000378

ALERT ID = 00000VF

TIME = mer. 11-juin-2008 00:00:07 CEST

STATUS = ERROR

SEVERITY = Informational

MANAGED OBJECT = 192.168.21.220

MANAGED OBJECT TYPE = Switches and Hubs

EVENT DESCRIPTION = InformAlarm::Component 192.168.21.220: Cisco

Configuration Management Trap;

CUSTOMER IDENTIFICATION = one

CUSTOMER REVISION = 20071009-1


Can you help on the ERROR status ?

About the event, is it a simply a trap send by the device ? What make the device send this trap ?

This means the configuration changed. This occurs when you have configured:


snmp-server enable traps config


This is not an error, but simply an informational alert.

thank you, simply i found the status of the event strange: ERROR, did you have any idea about this status ?

This could mean that there was no EMC-provided event status for this event, or that there was an error fetching the event status from the database. The nos.log should have an error for the latter. If the former, this would be nothing to worry about.
