Some issues with MPE

Hello MPE pros,

I have two issues with MPE:

1)I have configured the phone view for the Meeting Place Express but everytime I try to access the service using my phone (7971) I receive a message stating "You are not authorized to view this page due to an incorrect UserID/Password pair or your authorization has been expired". It doesn't even give me the chance to enter the UserID and Password.

2)I am able to access the meetingplace administration page from outlook to schedule a meeting but when I press the "save and close button" in the outlook calander, I receive a new page explaining the possible causes of the miscommunication between the outlook and MPE. Please find the error page in attachment. Could you please let me know if I am missing anything? I verified all configs regarding the error page and they are all good. Your help is as usual appreciated.

Hi Bahman

For issue #1:

Check to see if the service URL is in the following format, where server is the hostname or IP address of the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Express system:

http://server:8080/MPAPI/ipphone/login?serverhost=server:8080

Regards,

Michael.

Michael,

Thanks for the reply. I have checked the URL at least 10 times before posting this thread. This is what I have:

http://10.X.8.15:8080/MPAPI/ipphone/login?serverhost=10.X.8.15:8080

I am able to access the first page which I believe means there's no issue accessing the server through outlook. I am attaching the page that I am able to access. I am also attaching the page where the outlook is trying to send the schedule to the server. The progress bar takes 10 minutes and then I receive another page explaining the possible misconfigurations. Any other ideas?

Thanks,

I am still waiting for some ideas.

Thanks,

Hi,

Did you make service parameters information? under IP phone service configuration that is. Then you have to manually add values for these parameters when assigning the service to the phone. Paramaters are phone number, username and Password (PIN). This is the only way I managed to pass this step (then I got stuck on next step where I got the further options but when I try to press any of them I get "host not found" back). Take a look at this :
