Hey all..
We are running a new install of 6.1.1.2000-3 that is having intermittent issues placing callers on hold.
Situation:
- user is on the phone with caller #1
- Phone rings with caller #2
- user presses ANSWER to talk to caller #2
> Caller #1 does not get MOH
> Call #1 does does not indicate it is on hold to the user
> call #1 is does not have an option to resume the call.
- At this point the user is required to hang up the phone and call back caller #1.
this happens to random users at random times. We're trying to resolve it before it happens to the big boss.
thanks

Do you use H.323 GWs?
GW is in remote location?
MOH is Multicast or Unicast?
Do you have the trace for a failure?
Which IOS version

I don't think it's an MOH issues due to the symptoms that are presented ON the IP phone.
GW is H.323,
GW in house
IOS-12.4(15)T5
MOH is Unicast
No trace

Hi,
Seems to be MTP related issue. BTW which codec? Does hold/unhold to single external caller work always?
Does MOH, Hold/Resume work fine internally always?
Thanks,
