Hi all,
We have a group of 8 3500XL switches connected to each other via gigastack modules. When I input "show cdp nei" on one of the switch, it shows that all gigastack switches connect to the same port.
What do I need to do to distinguish what is connecting to what directly without physical inspection?
Please help! Thanks.

Not sure their is a way and one of the reasons I don't like stacking along with the difficulties finding mac addresses in a large stack.

Anyone else has the same issue?

Hi,
Show cdp nei details should show you details, 1Gig FD port will split into 2 links ( 1G half Duplex to 1 switch and further 1G half to the next). But I suggest you install Cisco Network Assistant, this will help you to set/see trunks using a GUI interface.

It does not work. Sh cdp nei det is still showing one Gigastack port connecting to all 8 switches.
