How to use Offset-List in RIP for Back-up Route?

Assalam o Alaikum,

I have a network with redundant links. I want to have one as Primary and the other one as Backup. the configuration is attached with the diagram of network.

You need to create an access-list identifying the networks and then offset the metric out of that interface

for eg.

If you want 10.0.0.0/23 to be used as bakup over the VSAT connection, you need to d0 someting like this

access-list 10 permit 10.0.0.0 0.0.1.255

router rip

version 2

offset-list 10 out fastethernet 0/8

in which router???

If you choose out, then it should be on the branch switch

If you prefere using IN, then you need to use it on the router interface connecting to the switch
