Hello.
I have a Cisco 2610XM with firmware version c2600-ipvoicek9-mz.124-15.T5.bin. Could someone tell me how to suppress the ALIVE accounting packets coming to my Radius server?.
I have been trying using the command "no aaa accounting update" but it keeps sending the ALIVE accounting packets.
Thank in advance,
Regards,
Ricardo.-

I'm not sure whether you are using RADIUS Server Load Balancing or not, but the following document does discuss commands used for "RADIUS Server Status and Automated Testing", and may provide you with the configuration guidance you need:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_2sb/feature/guide/sbrdldbl.pdf
... hopefully.

Did you try the solution posted in the MARS forum?

Hi Farrukh.
I tested the "no gw-accounting aaa" but it also removes the Accounting Stop messasges. I just want to remove the ALIVE accounting packets.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ricardo

Actually the command you had mentioned earlier should be enough. Have you tried resetting the connection or re-adding the radius server to the router configuration after the change? Maybe that works.
