CME 2801 and UC 520

Hi, i have recently been hired by a firm as an intern working on IP telephony and call manager. i dont have much experience in this field and i really am in need of some help. i hav a situation. I have a 2801 router with CME 3.2 on it. it has 2 ip phones connected to it both can call each other. i also hav a UC 520 whch also has two ip phones connected to it and even these phones can communicate with each other . I wanted to know if there is any way by which i can connect the 2801 to UC 520 in such a way that the ip phones connected to 2801 can call the ones connected to UC520. plz let me know. the ip phones i have are cisco 7960,7940

Hi!

Treat the UC500 as another CME. You will need to have connectivity between both routers and setup dial-peers to route calls between both of them.

Hi!

Treat the UC500 as another CME. You will need to have connectivity between both routers and setup dial-peers to route calls between both of them.

A. The Cisco Unified Communications 500 Series can be networked with an integrated services router-based Cisco Unified CME, but the Cisco Unified Communications 500 Series does not work with Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

Just make sure to configure destination-pattern under the dial-peer voip on each system to point to the DNs configured on the other box
