re-INVITE on SIP-H323 GW

I'd like to know the following specification of Cisco IOS 12.4 on SIP-H323 GW.

When SIP GW sends re-INVITE with a codec to SIP-H323 GW, which codec is prefered, the default codec of dial-peer or SIP side codec?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi, router accepts all the codecs that are configured for the "voice class codec" under voip DP.

If a fixed coded is configured, only that one is accepted. By default, that is g.729.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I have tested this call and the result shows unfortunately SIP GW's codec, althogh the rule you mentioned is applied to initial INVITE. Why does re-INVITE neglect the codec which is set by dial-peer?

Hi, what I'm telling you, is that if you want multiple codes to be allowed with a voip DP, you need to configure a voice-class coded and apply it to the DP.
