Does the below show version qualify this router as a 2801 VK9 router? It is missing the WIC cards, but it is the base router that I need to confirm:

Hi, K9 only means there is some encryption software in the IOS that is loaded, so yes you are running a K9 IOS version.

Routers all the same. The difference is made by the IOS that is loaded.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

Hi Erik,

If your query is whether the router you have is according to what you have ordered "CISCO2801-V/K9", the answer is yes.

What's shipped with this bundle CISCO2801-V/K9 -

IOS SP Services

64 MB Flash/256 MB DRAM

What you have -

IOS SP Services

Check in show mod output if you have PVDM2-8

64 MB Flash/256 MB DRAM

If your original query is something else let us know.

I guess 2 DSPs = PVDM2-32

PVDM2-16 = 1 DSP

And this is the reason why I asked him to check the show diag output to check which PVDM he has. By default with the bundle he ordered PVDM2-8 should come unless he has ordered a factory upgrade for PVDM or ordered additional PVDMs.
