Scenario is, customer calls 18669149049 and the call hits the router with digits 8669149049 where t1 is terminated , i have created a dial peer with incoming called number as 8669149049 and session target as call manager and i have created an extension 8669149049 in CM to make the call land into the extension.

The prob is whenever customer calls the tollfree he gets a dialtone (as if waiting for digits to be entered) and the call disconnects.

I can see the router log that the call has landed onto one of my t1 channel and found that even my dial-peer is matched but the caller hears a dialtone and gets disconnected.

any suggestions..

Try this:

Add a pots dial peer

dial-peer voice 100 pots

incoming called-number 8669149049

Then change your voip from incoming called number to a destination pattern.

Thanks matt.

It worked. But is it mandatory to bind an inbound t1 pots dial peer to a voip dial peer...

Is this the only way it works???

Exactly as explained above. You have two call legs involved here, a pots leg and a voip leg. You were receiving the second dial tone because the direct inward dial was not applied on a pots dial peer

I did not create a pots dial peer at all initially still i was i getting a dial tone....i had only the dial peer...hence i raised the question whether i need to create pots dial peer and bind it with the voip dial peer...
