Another issue with DFM

I have a VPN Firewall (Cisco PIX 520)

all looks good with the device it is being managed by RME, IPM, DFM and CM, however this device is not generating CiscoWork notifications when it goes offline, we had to reboot the device this morning.

What should I look for to make sure this device is configured properly.

First, make sure the PIX is in a Known state within DFM. Next, check the Reachability Settings polling period for this device (or device class) under DFM > Configuration > Polling and Thresholds > Polling Parameters. Make sure you're polling often enough to catch the reload.

Hi,

I just checked the device in DFM it is in a known state and as far as the polling parameters everything is at default. Should I change the Reachability settings or something?

You might try dropping the reachability polling from four minutes to say, two minutes.

I will do make this change now......thanks for the help.
