I have the card in the router, it shows in sh ver and in the diag, but I cannot configure the global ISDN settings

RET912R001(config)#?

Configure commands:

<--output cut-->

interface Select an interface to configure

ip Global IP configuration subcommands

ipc Configure IPC system

iphc-profile Configure IPHC profile

ipv6 Global IPv6 configuration commands

irec-agent IREC Agent service

isis Global ISIS configuration subcommands

iua Configure ISDN user Adaptation Layer

ivr ivr utility command

ixi IXI Config command

as you can see here there is not even an option for ISDN.

Hi, have you configured card-type ? Also, do you have PVDM2 in the router ? Without these, no isdn / voice.

Also, while you're there, you would be better to upgrade to a minimum of 12.4(11)XJ4, because what you have can exhibit many many bugs.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

View solution in original post

Means you have to configure

network-clock-participate wic 1

and

network-clock-select 1 t1 0/1/0

does that code support DMVPN and Firewall feature set?

This router will also eventually be running in SRST mode and all phones will be configured back to a CUCM 6.1 box at our HQ location.

card-type? not sure what you mean.

sh diag attached.

In global, "card-type 1 T1". After that the controller will appear and you will be able to configure everything. You have DSP resource for 32 channels. I recommend you upgrade IOS before going in production to reduce chances of problems.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

rated and helped.

I will look into the upgrade, this router is in production currently.

I came across this also:

RET912R001(config)#card type T1 0 1

RET912R001(config)#controller T1 0/1/0

RET912R001(config-controller)# framing esf

RET912R001(config-controller)# linecode b8zs

RET912R001(config-controller)# pri-group timeslots 1-24

%ISDN switch-type must be set first.

RET912R001(config-controller)#isdn switch-type primary-ni

RET912R001(config)#controller T1 0/1/0

RET912R001(config-controller)# framing esf

RET912R001(config-controller)# linecode b8zs

RET912R001(config-controller)# pri-group timeslots 1-24

%Please configure network-clock-participate wic 1 first

%Insufficient resources to create pri-group - it has been removed

what does this mean?

Means you have to configure

network-clock-participate wic 1

and

network-clock-select 1 t1 0/1/0
