Hello -
We have an analog modem that we need to connect to our CCM 6.x solution. I read the ATA 186s don't support it. Do we need to use an FXS card in the router instead?

With ATA, the modem would work up to moderate speeds only, and require a perfect IP network.
An FXS port in the router doesn't have any limitation and is a much better solution.
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

The modem speed is at 9600. Is that slow enough? It still does not work.

Do you have E1 ot T1 in the router? If so you might be missing the necessary "network-clock-select" command.

Yup, it's a PRI and it has that command. It seems that when they try and dialin to the modem it just automatically hangs up.

Check anyway "show controllers T1" for any slips. If none, search "troubleshooting ata fax" and configure the ata accordingly to the document.
