What is the difference between L2 and L3 technolohy in MPLS cloud.

Hi,

Can you please elaborate more, what L2 and L3 technologies are you asking about. If you are asking about VPN types that can be delivered over MPLS, then yes it can be delivered in both flavors; layer 3 (L3 MPLS VPN) providing a peer-to-peer VPN model and layer 2 (AToM and VPLS) providing emulated overlay model (AToM can provide EoMPLS, FRoMPLS ...).

I hope that i've been informative, and please don't hesitate to elaborate more.

Hi,

I am using MPLS circuit for connecting the branches. The service provider said there are 2 types of sercice L2 and L3. What is the difference between that.
