how do i identify host bandwith consumption

Pls, i am experiencing unneccessary mail application gulping my bandwith, how do i identify the host doing this on my router

Has a 30 day trial ... There also instructions on the site on how to configure netflow.

pls tell me what to implement or configure, dont think my comp is ready to pay for any software, unless i will c it free

The router has limited ability to do collect this.

You can put in

IP route-cache flow on a interface and then show ip cache flow. This will only show open flows not historic data.

You can try configuring the top-talkers with the global command ip flow-top-talkers and it will keep track of flows over a short time.

You can also use ip accounting on the interface which collects more long term data but you will have to process the results results with a external program like excel to get useful data. IP accounting can a performance impact on your router so watch the loads when you first turn it on.

Best solution is sniffer or ethereal that are free utilities.

check the top talkers.

For something free, run Netflow on the router, download VMWare Server and then download the Netflow Appliance:
