ACS40 server certificate with Windows 2003 Enterprise

Unanswered Question
Jun 25th, 2008

I installed ACS40 on 2003 standard edition using domain admin privilege(xyzadmin). And added this server to corporate domain as a member server.

When it comes to configure ACS certificate for EAP-TLS I am confused.

What is ACS server certificate?

Is it the certificate issued to the computer that host ACS?

Or is it the certificate issued to the domain admin(xyzadmin) that installed ACS?

To be specific, if I use ACS "Generate certificate signing request" tool, in the "certificate subject" field what name i should use for CN? Is it the computer FQDN? Or xyzadmin@domain.com?

Thank you in advance.

Three certificates involved in EAP-TLS

!) Client certificate.

2) CA certificate

3) server certificate.

Installation of certificate.

Client Certificate( on client computer with every user ....... different client certificate for different user)

CA certificate ( Both on ACS and the Client)

Server certificate(Instlalled on ACS only)

Find attached the TLS guide.
