MGCP Gateway registration failure

Unanswered Question
Jun 26th, 2008

Guys:

I have mgcp gateway which shows as registered under ccm-manager,but not under call-manager. I restarted RIS data collector as suggested by one of the cisco document. No luck

I am using loop back for mgcp bind for both control/media.

However my transcoder/CFB resources are showing as registered under call manager. I am using same loopback interface to register those resources.

mgcp

mgcp call-agent x.x.x.x 2427 service-type mgcp version 0.1

mgcp dtmf-relay voip codec all mode out-of-band

mgcp rtp unreachable timeout 1000 action notify

mgcp modem passthrough voip mode nse

mgcp ip qos dscp cs3 signaling

mgcp package-capability rtp-package

no mgcp package-capability res-package

mgcp package-capability sst-package

no mgcp package-capability fxr-package

mgcp package-capability pre-package

no mgcp timer receive-rtcp

mgcp sdp simple

mgcp rtp payload-type g726r16 static

mgcp bind control source-interface Loopback0

mgcp bind media source-interface Loopback0

sccp ccm group 100

description Hardware Conferencing Group

bind interface Loopback0

associate ccm 1 priority 1

associate ccm 2 priority 2

associate profile 102 register XXX-XXX-XX

associate profile 101 register XXX-XXX-XX

Any ideas

I have this problem too.

please post the controller config, it should be something like pri-group timeslots 1-24 service mgcp

that line is the one that tells the IOS to allow CUCM to control the PRI

Jaime:

I am using VWIC2-1MFT-T1E1-T1 and here is the following output from sh-hardware

1 Channelized E1/PRI port

1 Channelized T1/PRI port

1 Virtual Private Network (VPN) Module

1 Subrate T3/E3 port

8 Voice FXS interfaces

DRAM configuration is 64 bits wide with parity enabled.

Yes using hostname

Jaime:

I think i am binding Loopback0 for both H323 and MGCP, and guess thats what causing problem. I cannot change configuration until after-hours. I will try

interface Loopback0

h323-gateway voip interface

h323-gateway voip bind srcaddr X.X.X.X
