is there a command you can use when logged in using the service account to stop and start the ips processes. I'd like to try that before having to reboot the device. It currently shows the MainApp as not running

As the service user, you can restart the cids processes.

1) Log in as the service user

2) type in "su - root" and hit enter. password is same as service account

3) type in "/etc/init.d/cids restart" and hit enter

I believe TAC has a "watchdog" script that can be installed and used to restart processes, but you'll need to open a TAC case. Based on your other posting, you probably should anyway.

Ah yes that is the one. Thanks as that saved me from having to schedule a reboot later tonight!
