VSS on Catalyst 6500

I am planning to setup VSS between two pairs of 6509 running WS-SUP720-3B.

is there any disadvantages? will ios upgrade affect downtime? I have WAN connections (gig circuits) terminating on the 6509 switches, is the WAN connections supported?

Is the bandplane bandwidth combined?

you cannot use WS-SUP720-3B for VSS

you need VS-S720-10GE-3C or VS-S720-10GE-3CXL
