I have a port configured for voice-port 0/3/3 and it is setup so that when someone calls the CEO it will go to him directly on voice-port 0/3/3.
Here is the configuration, my client wants to make sure that this is only for inbound only and forwards directly to the CEO when someone from outside dial his extension. We need to confirm based on our setup if that is true and no outgoing calls will busy up that port.
voice-port 0/3/3
timing hookflash-out 50
connection plar 770
caller-id enable

Hi, usually it's recommended to run "connection plar opx" rather thna plar only.
The advantage is that the calls are answered by the FXO port only when the plar extensions actually answers. Without opx all calls are answered and in mot cases that is not desired.
Beside that unles a port is referenced in a DP, it is never used for outgoing.
Please rate post if it does!

if you don't have a dial-peer for outgoing calls then it's not used for outgoing
connection plar 770 means it will always go to this number
