Does anybody know when the AUX port is used for on the back of the 7945 IP phone? I haven't been able to locate any documentation on it. Here is a picture of what the back looks like:

Hi Bob,
The only other use for the Aux port (in addition to Paolos good info) is in conjunction with a new Headset Option called HHC. The HHC is a brand new integration piece (Headset Hookswitch Control) that will allow calls to be answered via the Cordless Headset with Jabra/Plantronics headsets and newer CCM versions. (see attached)
You need to be able to configure this new CCM setting on the phones (7945,7965,7942,7962,7975) before this control can take place.
"Settings-->Device Configuration-->Media Configuration-->Headset Hookswitch Control"

Some developers have used to connected a card reader. No other possible use is documented.
