Hi,

My question is what are the most common causes of routing flaps in IGP protocols, (EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS) ? I know the question is very general but what I am looking for is say the top 3 causes of flaps on IGPs.

The issues that come across for me is errors on cable/circuit.

Thanking you in advance,

Cheers,

Lots of things can cause issues.

High load on the line

High load on the router (CPU, RAM)

and of course just a unreliable line.
