Hi,
We are looking for a way to verify the throughput offered by a Service Provider for a L3VPN we have ordered.
We have 2 different classes and want to understand how should I check the quality of these different classes... end to end...
Thanks

Hi,
You could look into IP SLA;
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_4/ip_sla/configuration/guide/hsla_c.html
Or you could simply use the ping command and specify a size of X and a high repeat count. IE for a size of 1000 (bytes) and repeat count of 1000 packets, 1000 bytes * 8 = 8000 bits, * 1000 pakets, = 8000000 (8MB) You will have some overhead for the layer 2 headers, but generally negligible. You should use a service policy to set the precedence/dscp for your different slas.
Cheers

Hi,
In addition to Lee's suggestions, you can also try Agilent's Smartbits or Test Centre.
If you have internal contacts in Cisco, you can also Perhaps get a box with the IOS based Pagent and TGN for your tests.
Cheers
