integrating Unity Connection 2 with 2 server CCM 4.2 Cluster

When integrating Pub & Sub with Unity Connection 2, if I have a 16-port voice mail license, do I have to separate ports for the Pub & Sub...ie, 8 ports for the Pub and 8 ports for the Sub (for example). I am asking before I do a failover test of the Pub going down.

Hi Arthur,

All 16 ports will be configured in the Pub only :) The Sub will be associated via the Device Pool/CCM Group chosen during the integration;

just to add to the great info from Rob, take notice at table:

Table 3-15 Settings for the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Servers

IP Address or Host Name

Enter the IP address (or host name) of the secondary Cisco Unified CallManager server.

make sure to have the SUB there

and also in the CUCM group in CUCM.
