4507-R Switch with Sup6-E

Hi,

I'm having issue with console login to 4507R-E switch with Sup6-E for image; cat4500e-entservices-mz.122-44.SG.bin

Previously I had ipbase with that I was able to login to switch via console. Once I upgrade to cat4500e-entservices I'm not able to login to switch with same username & password. When I configured AAA and aaa authentication login with local username & passowrd it works.

Can anyone tell why i cant login using general username & password without local AAA username & password for image cat4500e-entservices?.

Better solution :

When the software upgrade has occurred, reconfigure the same password as you used before the software upgrade.

or

When both an enable password and an enable secret are configured, the enable secret takes precedence. You may remove the enable secret after the software upgrade has occurred and when the enable password has been validated or reconfigured.
