Mapping an outside address to an inside address

Hi all,

im getting a problem mapping address on ASA.

I have a outside host (host-A) ( on same switch that outside ASA interface ( is plugged. And I have another host (host-B) on DMZ (

I wanna map the outside address to inside address

So, I changed the outside host ip address to (host-A) and put this command on ASA:

static (DMZ,WAN) netmask

but the packets to still go to the (host-A), not to host-B on DMZ. It seems ASA is not mapping the address properly.

What should I do?

I have this problem too.

try the following commands on the ASA:

clear xlate

clear arp-cache

And also do a "clear arp" on the external switch.

Hope this helps.

I put this command and its still not working.

The ASA doesn't receive the packets.
