Mapping an outside address to an inside address

Hi all,

im getting a problem mapping address on ASA.

I have a outside host (host-A) (10.10.10.2) on same switch that outside ASA interface (10.10.10.1) is plugged. And I have another host (host-B) on DMZ (172.16.2.2).

I wanna map the outside address 10.10.10.2 to inside address 172.16.2.2.

So, I changed the outside host ip address to 10.10.10.3 (host-A) and put this command on ASA:

static (DMZ,WAN) 10.10.10.2 172.16.2.2 netmask 255.255.255.255

but the packets to 10.10.10.2 still go to the (host-A), not to host-B on DMZ. It seems ASA is not mapping the address properly.

What should I do?

Thanks

hi,

try the following commands on the ASA:

clear xlate

clear arp-cache

And also do a "clear arp" on the external switch.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I put this command and its still not working.

The ASA doesn't receive the packets.
