Call Forwarding without User Intervention

Ok...I am 99% sure this is a PEBKAC issue but was just wondering if anyone had heard of either Call Manager or Unity "automatically" changing the call transfer preferences for a Unity subscriber mailbox. Users are claiming that they didn't change anything but somehow their Call Transfer settings were changed from Yes, Ring a suscriber at this extension to No, Transfer all calls to the subscribers greeting. It is worth noting that they knew exactly what to do to fix it without me even troubleshooting it. Just wondering if there is any glitch in the system that would cause this to be engaged automagically. CCM 4.1.3ess122.1 and Unity 4.0.5
