Here's what we have...

We have a Router handling traffic for a network of 10.1.0.0, configured as a default gateway of 10.1.1.1 with the following routes:

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.1.1.1

ip route 192.1.1.0 255.255.255.0 10.1.1.2

We have a SonicWall with an OPT port configured with an IP address of 10.1.1.2 that we need to receive traffic from the aforementioned router. We can ping the external address on the OPT port of the SonicWall (10.1.1.2) from the 10.1.0.0 network, but nothing on the other side of the SonicWall (192.1.1.0). From the SonicWall, we are unable to ping any of the 10.1.0.0 network.

Any ideas?

You are using firewall as a router, correct? Sonicwall is firewall, By nature of firewall and firmware - it acts as a Firewall.

ICMP is block by default. allow telnet and try to telnet on other end Web server on port 80, You will able to do.

Hmm...now I'm not sure the issue is with the SonicWall...rather with the other router. IPs from the SonicWall network can ping IPs on the other router network, but when the ping reply is sent, it goes off into never-never land. In addition, when IPs from the other router network ping IPs on the SonicWall network, they go off into never-never land directly.
