OSPF Loadbalancing

Hi,

How can I do a loadbalancing in OSPF if there are 2 routers connected to a single destination. Both the routers are also connected using a cross cable.

yes you can do it by manipulating the ospf cost on the interface.

OSPF uses cost as metric & prefers the path to the destination with lowest metric. For loadbalancing you may manipulate costs on both routers to be same. Also do it at both ends for return traffic as well.

Manipulate cost on WAN interface of routers by this command:

"ip ospf cost x"

I want to do a loadbalance to an external network whcih is E2 type in my route. Will the changing of cost will work in E2 routes.

E2 routes do not include cost to the ASBR so it should not be a problem

My Lan is connected to 2 routers. These routers are connected using a cross cable. After these routers there is an External network. Both the sites are using OSPF.

I want to distribute the traffic comming from my LAN through both the routers.
