Each port on the 4-port FXS/DID VIC can be configured as either Foreign Exchange Station (FXS) or Direct Inward Dial (DID) when it is used with phones with a Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) load of 1 or less.
Refer the following url for more info on FXO cards:

As mentioned in the other posting, to use Direct Inward Dialing, you need the VIC-4FXS DID card.
FXO ports do not support Direct Ineward Dial - this is not a limitation of the card itself, it is the way loop start telephones lines work.
FXO lines are a legacy of 100 years ago - you rang a number and got patched through to a single endpoint. There was no need to pass any additional numbering information.
The default behaiviour of FXO ports is to go off hook upon sensing the 80VAC ring signal, but you change change this slightly by using the 'connection plar OPX
If you need DID, you either use the analogue VIC4-FXS-DID card in North America, or ISDN BRI voice port pretty well everywhere else in the world.
