Hey Guyzz

I have a PIX 515E firewall and it frequently loses Internet Connectivity and in order to restore it, I have to reboot my firewall and everything becomes normal.

I have to reboot after every half an hour.

Could any 1 help me out with this issue.

Hi,

By stating " frequently loses Internet Connectivity" - do you mean that the outside interface malfunctions or it is that the internet access from the inside stops working ?

Check the following,

- Speed duplex on interfaces on the pix and on directly connected SW or Router.

- Whnever you face the problem next time, don't reboot, instead check the following

show xlate ( see whether ther is any problem wih NAT)

then do "clear xlate' and see if internet is working.
