We are looking into the VSS implementation. We have 3 6513 switches and would add 3 more running VSS. My question is do you need dual sup 720's in the switches when running vss? Can you use only 1 supervisor per switch while running VSS. On the website it had 2 per 6513 chassis.

You can join in VSS only two switches.

For vss you need sup720-10G

You can use only one sup per chassis.

In future you can use two sup per chassis.
