X.25 switching.

Hi,

I am connecting a WIC-2T card with a Sun Solaris 3.1 server which is running X.25 switching. And I am configuring the WIC-2T interface as X.25 DCE but still I am not able to get the line protocol UP.

I am also attaching the sh serial interface output here.

Kindly help me in the same,

Which cable are you using? Send output of "show controllers serial 0/3/0".

In Serial o/3/0 I am getting No serial cable attached.

and I am using CAB-SS-RS232MT

Hi, beside that it is showing "not attached", you need a DCE cable, CAB-SS-232FC.

You cannot use any other type of cable and you cannot make any configuration to make work the one that you have.

Hi,

Justnow I tried to test with DTE cable and I found in the Sh controller " DTE clocks not detected". So I do assume that I need a DCE cable.

Any suggestion.

Can Solaris provide clock?
