PSTN Phone disconnects after on-hold for 25 seconds

Hi all,

My PSTN phone disconnects after 25 seconds when I put it on hold from my MGCP branch router.

I don't know what other information to provide here. Please ask questions.

Hi Shailendra,

Please try the following command on your gateway.

no mgcp timer receive-rtcp

what do you mean by your pstn phone..?? Do you mean a call to the pstn or a call from the pstn..if this is it then do the following..

on your router turn on debugging..type the following in privilige mode...

debug isdn q931

term mon

place a test call and send the output of the debug

The call in or out to the PSTN was having the same problem.

The issue is resolved by the foll command:

no mgcp timer receive-rtcp

as suggested by Rob.
