ATA188 drops connected call after 8-10 minutes automatically.

Dear all,

Ata188 drops connected call after 10 minutes. The CM is running 5.1(3).

If we use ata 186, the connected call wroks fine. Only ata188 have this issue.

The ata188 works fine in CM4.x. The issue is found after the system was upgraded to 5.1(3), phone template for ata188 CANNOT be defined in CM5.1(3), only ata186 template can be defined in the system.


Will CM 5.1(3) support ata188? Thanks!

At a guess, you probably have not configured the second port on the ATA.

We have seen quite a few cases where the second port on the ATA was not defined in the Callmanager database. Even though port 1

was active in a call, the 2nd port continues to try and download it's configuration file , and it then resets when it times out after not getting any response.

Try defining the second port in the CCM database (you don't need to give it a DN), and this should create a new config file when it tries to register. This normally fixes the problem.
