Correction. The IPS-K9-6.1-1-E2.pkg package is for upgrading 6.0 or 5.1 sensors up to 6.1(1)E2.
If the sensor is already at 6.1(1)E1 then the following file is what needs to be installed to get to 6.1(1)E2:
IPS-engine-E2-req-6.1-1.pkg
http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/ips6
The IPS-engine-... are used when only the E level is changing. The IPS-engine-... file is much smaller, and will change only the sensorApp binary rather than the entire operating system (which is what the IPS-K9-6.1-1-E2.pkg would do). This means than an InLine sensor configured with ByPass Auto is able to continue passing packets during the IPS-engine-... file installation, and there is not a sensor reboot. So the IPS-engine-... file installation can be done without bringing down the network (which can happen with installations requiring reboots).

hi zakid
downlOAd this file IPS-K9-6.1-1-E2.pkg to the server from where you can open Cisco IDM.Navigate to Update tab and click on browse tab to give the path of the sensor file , uplaod it and apply. For a few minutes sensor will go down and after 3-4 minutes it will be up.
Note : If the sensor takes more than 3-4 minutes , do not panic as it may take more than this say 5-7 minutes .Dont cancel the task or give a hard boot / power off the sensor device as it may lead to unknown errors
Regards
Ankur
