Kiran,

This is the standard book for TCL:

http://www.amazon.com/Practical-Programming-Tcl-Tk-4th/dp/0130385603/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215425366&sr=8-1

There is also this book for beginners:

http://www.amazon.com/Tcl-Tk-Programming-Absolute-Beginner/dp/1598634380/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215425366&sr=8-2

TCL is quite an easy language once you are into it, but it is definitely not a zero-effort solution. You will not be able to use it unless you are prepared to work at it a bit.

Can you program in C or in shell or any other scripting language? That would be a good starting point.

hi!

there is an excellent opensource tutor available for TCL known as "TCL Tutor"

It has a lot of lessons and you can run sample codes in that and practice. It explains well along with examples.

Following is the download link :

Hope this is helpful.
