Cisco MDS 9124 - Fabric Manager - Change Switch Name

Hi all,

Can anyone see any issues that may arise from changing the name of one of our MDS switches as far as the Management software is concerned?

I presume changing the name through the Management software would be the best way to go?

P.S. Not a lot of experience with Cisco...

Hi Bernie,

Changing the switch name has no bearing on switch operation.

I changed the name of all my MDS's with no issues. But I did do it at the command line.
