heavy netbios name services traffic

Hi all,

recently we have a domian implementaion in our network. we have more than of 30 vlan and the same no. of access switches, my problem is since the domain implementation network speed is degraded and when i run an analyzer in access swiches it shows heavy NBNS protocol traffic. is it the rael cause for slow down or sumthing else and if yes how can i minimize this nbns protocol traffic.

From the symptoms you've listed I would say that you need to increase the segmentation of the NETBIOS dchp/reservation scopes so that there are master browsers on each VLAN.
