I keep getting the following error messages

ARP: address resolution for 10.1.1.1 timed out.

ARP failed with failure code 1. TFTP transfer aborted.

TFTP: Operation terminated prematurely.

not sure what the errors are.

what settings are you using?

I would guess

computer derectly connected via cross-over (or an auto sensing nic)

rommon 3 > set

PS1=rommon ! >

IP_ADDRESS=10.1.1.1

IP_SUBNET_MASK=255.255.255.0

DEFAULT_GATEWAY=10.1.1.2

TFTP_SERVER=10.1.1.2

then set your computer to 10.1.1.2/24

Rommon can be a little glitchy (from my experience) so since its in rommon I'd try to get it to just the router and my computer
