Trunk port to a Linksys managed switch... Issues

Hi all,

I just installed a Linksys SRW2048 managed switch and need to connect it to the Cisco CORE 6500 via a trunk port.

That switch would hold the management IP 10.98.0.97 on VLAN 200 and all connected device are to be part of the VLAN 106.

My problem is that wen I set the trunk port on the Cisco to trunk allowed vlan 200,106 I loose connectivity to the management of the linksys switch.

Any ideas?

Nelson,

Is vlan 200 native (untagged) or a tagged vlan?

Have you configured hte lniksys port as a trunk port?

Have you configured the "Acceptable Frame Type" on the linksys to "Tag Only" or "Admit All"

below is the link to the Linksys site for configuration of this device.

HTH.

Never mind... Fixed it...

As you might not know the SRW2048 has a Cisco IOS CLI hidden and not documented anywhere...

When you SSH to the device, press CTRL-Z and enter LCLI (lowercase), and login.
