Rintones not showing up on phones

We have CCM 6.0.1 and I uploaded the .raw files and Ringlist.xml file via tftp in Call Manager. The uploads were successful but when you press settings-ringtones-select the DN, you are only provided 7 ringtones instead of 30. Why does the device not show the ringtones. I have stopped and restarted the tftp service to get this to work with no luck at all. When we were using 3.3.5 we had the ring tones displayed as a choice on the devices now using 6.0.1 you can not select the ringtone options like before.

Backup Ringlist.xml

1. Open Windows Command Prompt

2. Type: tftp -i "ip address of CM" get Ringlist.xml

3. Find files and save it incase you want to bring back other ringtones in future.

Upload new Ringlist.xml file - File name is case sensitive.

1. Open up Cisco Unified OS Administration

2. Go to Software Upgrades -> Upload TFTP Server File

3. Save the Ringlist.xml File I attached to this e-mail to you hard drive.

4. Browse to the location where saved the file I attached and select it.

5. Upload file.

Apply new setting

1. Restart TFTP service.

2. Reset Phones

This should work for you. Kindly, let me know if this resolves your issue.

I did the procedure you explained before I posted to the site and it is not working.

The command line code you sent is not correct

tftp -i "ip address of CM" get Ringlist.xml tftp

It does not like a dash in it.

I uploaded the new Ringlist.xml and the .raw files and they are in the call manager but not showing up on the phones.

I have stopped and restarted the tftp service and reset the phones and still not showing up on the individual phones under ringtones.

ok, can we get sniffer capture when the phone is booting up.

thanks...

Do you have a link for a free download of the Sniffer Pro Software?

Hi friend,

Try the packet capture with Wireshark, here is the link to download:

Hope this helps,
