Hi, I need to configure PBR on 2821 GE sub-interface, does anybody know the performance of this configuration? is it process switched or CEF switched?

It might depend somewhat on what version of code you are running. But in general I believe that current versions of IOS process PBR in CEF switching and not process switching.

Believe Rick is correct, although I have a vague recollection that some PBR statements might impact the switching path chosen. Don't recall specifically whether this might be an issue on the 2821.

Also, I've attached a performance sheet often seen on these forums which will show the 2821, even with CEF switching, would likely be unable to substain 100 Mbps line rate let alone gig line rate.
